Welcome to the Melbourne Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration. This graduate program is jointly offered by Melbourne Law School and Melbourne Business School at the University of Melbourne. The collaboration between the two Schools provides students with access to both Australia’s No. 1 MBA* and Australia's most innovative Juris Doctor degree.
This program is designed for students who require legal expertise and a comprehensive management education. The program gives students the skills and knowledge to undertake management roles; either as legal experts in the corporate environment, as corporate practitioners with an understanding of legal practice or as legal representatives. The program has been approved by the Council of Legal Education as satisfying the academic requirements for admission to legal practice in all Australian jurisdictions.
Students learn from outstanding faculty and are exposed to a practical, internationally relevant curriculum. The quality of the Schools’ faculty, facilities and networks are world-class.
The combined program has been designed to minimise time out of the workforce and maximise student assimilation of knowledge. The JD/MBA begins each January and September and is offered on a full-time basis. International students must commence the MBA 16 month program format in January or 20 month program format in September (including internship term).
